About Me

I was awarded my PhD from the Plant Biology and Conservation Department at Northwestern University and Chicago Botanic Garden while working in Dr. Amy Iler's lab. I am starting as a post-doctoral researcher at University of Chicago in Dr. Lauren Carley's lab in May and working at the Rocky Mountain Biological Labratory as the coordinator of the RMBL Education Program.
I believe plant science is an integral piece of our fight against climate change. Specifically, I am especially interested in physiological and ecological research with emphasis on climatic adaptation, drought response and alpine ecology. I am passionate about the integration of science into education of all levels in order to create equal opportunities, knowledgeable conservation and adept policy making.
